The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。女店员司徒佩芳（邢慧饰）、在孤儿院工作的瞎眼少女彭静娴（汪萍饰）及舞女李蓉蓉（郭曼娜饰），分别接到日本来信，有旅居东洋的华侨富翁，自认是她们的父亲，将家产五亿元分赠给她们，并附寄来回机票，要她们从香港去日本和他见面，蒋彬（金峰饰）是赴日料理富翁后事的法律顾问的远亲，他们不知道，等待他们的是一场危机…。
