Young female fighter pilots arrive to the frontline. They have different stories and different fates. However, at war no one knows whose fate is to live and who is doomed to die.。1941年，日本军队快速占领了英国统治下的马来亚。男人们被抓去做苦力，但却没有地方安置妇女和儿童。本片从其中一个英国女护士的视角讲述了这个故事，她遇见了一个澳大利亚士兵，他从苦力营里面偷食物给她。战争结束后，她去了澳大利亚那个士兵家乡的小镇并在那住了下来……。
