三百年前，茅山第子张素素因为战妖魔重伤，便摄身入“碧玉炉”中，久存魂魄至今。岁月如流，大陆青年华来港，投靠契爷张午，午乃一茅山真人，与女阿如，阿意同住。午后发现华有特异功能，便希望大发横财，岂料招来债务，幸得大麻成相助解围。阿意偶然释出了素素之魂魄，于是大厦出现妖怪，如被雇收妖，后发现素素乃茅山派祖辈，时一喇嘛道破华乃转世灵童，并集合了耶、佛、道三教之精华，结果将妖怪除去。。故事以神秘的忘川客栈为背景，讲述了冷面捕头沈南与神秘女子阿柯之间的纷繁关系。阿柯拥有神秘能力，能为活人入梦。死里逃生的丑陋医女、婚姻不幸的绝望主妇、天生孱弱的富家少爷……阿柯在这些人的梦境里看遍三千烦恼红尘，却意外得知，自己和沈南还有一段跨越前世今生的宿命之恋。。A group of happy animal friends live in a beautiful big forest.
