本影片讲述了发生在不同地点的三个感人至深的故事，也讲述了来自我们现在居住的世界的挑战。比利时，哈默德是一家小当铺的主人，他怀着对全家人美好未来的期盼来到欧洲，像祖先一样耕作咖啡。在一次抗议经济危机的街市游行中，他的当铺被攻击，一个非常珍贵的咖啡壶被偷了。。The film tells the story of three people for a year: a son (Magimel) diagnosed with cancer, a mother (Deneuve) suffering from helplessness and a doctor (Cécile de France) to do her job: One year and four seasons for these three characters to deal with the disease, to tame it, and to understand what it means to die while alive.。
