He is regarded as one of the greatest auteurs of 20th century cinema, from "The Apu Trilogy" in the 50's to his last film in 1991 "Agantuk" (The Stranger).。十八里铺的薛神医，多好的人啊！帮乞丐治病还不收钱。那天正准备给乞丐拔火罐呢，谁知刚把火给点上，雌雄双煞突然从天而降，对着他们就是拳打脚踢，还说：我们这是替天行道。之后薛神医大病一场，从此闭馆不给人看病了，要不然肥乞丐的风湿病早就好了。。
