本剧原作为描述葛饰北斋的三女「荣」的半生的小说『眩』。描述回到北斋身边的「荣」，看着父亲的背影而开始研究色彩以及暗恋北斋弟子-画家「善次郎」的姿态。。Barnaby and DS Ben Jones investigate the death of Simon Bright who is found dead inside an old World War II vintage Humber parked at an abandoned airfield.
