农村小伙子周正午在同乡好友的邀请下，带着梦想来到北京。但他没有找到好友，却认识了一个漂亮的北京女孩朱古丽。“我要在北京住下去，找一个北京女孩做老婆，这样我的儿子就可以成为北京人了，我的子孙后代也就成为城里人了”这句话是正午在北京呆下去的信念。不知不觉中，正午爱上了朱古丽，但朱古丽一直在等待一个叫强哥的人，并且告诉正午，她也不是北京人。朱古丽离开了正午，而正午依旧日复一日坐在公园的长椅上见着各式各样的北京女人。某日，正午如常在公园等待来见面的姑娘，一双熟悉的红皮鞋出现在他的眼前。。A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry.
