这是一个匪夷所思的爱情故事。俊凯（何润东饰）的情人小采被抓，他前去营救惨遭毒打，为报仇，他娶了仇人的女儿励夜（张钧甯饰）为妻，婚后对其百般折磨，无法忍受的励夜被迫离开了他，并瞒着俊凯生下了他们的孩子天天。多年后，俊凯四下打探励夜的消息，暗恋励夜的雷伦（樊旲伦饰）也在到处寻找她。后来天天在俊凯处走失，他四处寻找来到当年与励夜结婚时住过的地方，放声痛哭，他在心里承认了对励夜的爱。因生意矛盾，雷伦偷走了天天，寻衅上门的俊凯与雷伦大打出手，此时励夜被人绑架，闻讯后的俊凯更对雷伦暴拳相加，不料雷伦拨刀剌向了俊凯的胸膛......。Plebs is described as "a thoroughly modern comedy in an ancient setting."
